Kolekcja Hachette’s biggest successes include its educational collections, such as The Whole Universe and ABC, but also book collections like Agatha Christie, a deluxe, bilingual version of the complete works of Shakespeare, and model kits. Kolekcja Hachette recently launched the Disney Classics Little Golden Books library and Masha and the Bear ABC with considerable success.

Hachette Partworks has been marketing its collections in English-speaking markets – U.K., Australia, South Africa, New Zealand and Malta – for 20 years. With its unique collections drawn from pop culture (The Marvel Ultimate Collection, Warhammer 40,000: Conquest, The Terminator) and arts and crafts (The Art of Knitting, Art Therapy), Hachette Partworks has developed a portfolio of products that have been successfully adapted to other Group markets.

HKR was founded in 2009 and started by adapting the Group’s international bestsellers, such as Build the Bismarck, The Art of Crochet, Classic Pocket Watches and Musical Instruments for the Russian market. In 2012, the company launched its first original collection, a Russian-language series of monographs on the Russian Tsars, Build Your Own Globe and Russian Cars on 1:24 Scale, that proved hugely successful.

Hachette Fascicoli is a leading player in Italy’s partworks market, while also marketing its products in Greece, Romania, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Croatia, Hungary and Bulgaria. The series devoted to building large models of cars and other vehicles, as well as the book collections, have generated positive results. Both its Disney and non-Disney books for children have found great success domestically as well as outside the country.

Hachette Collections Japan publishes partworks collections covering a wide range of interests and hobbies, for all audiences in Japan. In the last few years, an increasing number of Japanese works have contributed to the subsidiary’s success, notably Japanese Cars, Japanese Warplanes, Coins and Banknotes of the World, F14, Disney Tsum Tsum and Leather Craft. European collections such as those related to crochet, knitting and Ferrari F1 are also performing well in this market.

Hachette Collections is the leader in the partworks market and the direct marketing book market. The company sells its partworks collections in France, Belgium, Switzerland and Canada with great success. In recent years, collections such as Marvel Classics, Tintin’s Cars, The Art of Knitting and Firefighting Cars and Trucks have enjoyed very strong sales. Regarding the direct marketing book business, year after year, Hachette Collections recruits hundreds of thousands of new readers in France and Belgium for the Disney Book Club and other children’s book collections, such as the new Cars collection, through various channels such as email, telemarketing and the Internet. Through its international division, Hachette Collections is also active in the German market, developing numerous model kit collections that have proved highly successful. Recent examples include the Mercedes truck and a new version of the battleship Bismarck.  

Editorial Salvat is one of the oldest and best-known publishers in Spain and South America. It is a pioneer in the partworks and collectibles market, publishing in both Spanish and Portuguese, and maintains a strong presence in Spain, Portugal, Argentina, Brazil, Mexico, Peru and the rest of Latin America. In 2016, Salvat embarked on a process of transformation and growth across all its markets. Notable successes include the Marvel collections across most of Latin America, the DC Comics books in Spain, works for automobile collectors such as the bestselling Autos Inolvidables Argentinos in Argentina and the Camiones Pegaso truck collection in Spain, and the Audiocuentos collection, a product for children that Salvat developed in-house. Over the next few years, in addition to strengthening its distance-selling channels, Salvat plans to develop a new e-commerce.
